2- What is discourse study?
 Discourse study is the discipline devoted to investigation of the
relationship between form (sets of meanings sentences), and function
(sender communicates a message to a receiver) in verbal
communication.
Discourse is the language that has been produced as the result of an
act of communication.
 E.g. A: There is a good movie playing tonight. (form: statement,
function: invitation)
 B: Actually, I have to study. (form: statement, function: refusal).
